- Roughing without full cuts with constant tool load (trochoidal)
- Residual material roughing and finishing
- Residual material finishing from the residual material model
- Editing undercuts
- Application of HSC functions
- Working with hired tools
- Determining the positions on the component (3+2 axes), etc.
- Representation of the milling machine
- Simulation of machining
- Collision testing with tool holders, clamping devices and milling machines
- Use and handling of optional surfaces (practical examples)
- Use and handling of freely defined tool profiles (e.g.: high feed milling cutters)
After the training, the participant is able to process components using special strategies. These include, among other things, roughing and finishing with optimal tool utilization while avoiding full cuts, contour-parallel finishing of components, finishing of residual material taking the residual material model into account and working with optimal tool length.
The participant creates all types of machining operations, positions and handles complex components on the machine, determines in advance any problems with clamping positions and limit switches and recognizes collisions with clamping devices and machine elements.
This course should be attended at the earliest 6-8 weeks after the basic course part I!
