This one-day course covers the four major areas of automation available in ALPHACAM.
- Machining Styles, the creation and manipulation of machining cycle data into a format that allows for the rapid application of standard repetitive machining methods in use within the working environment. These simple Machining Styles are then further enhanced using the Auto Styles automation process and User Layers to allow for rapid application of multiple machining styles.
- Nesting, the four methods of generating a large scale pattern of individual parts across standard sized sheet panels for mass produced items.
- Geometry Query Manager, allows for the automated manipulation of the geometries onto User Layers or to rearrange an existing layer structure into one that will work with an already available User Layer set up being run within the working environment within ALPHACAM to compliment the Machining styles section of the course.
- Automation Manager, is the single interface that brings all the above areas into one single manager and allows you to work with supplied cut lists from third party software or to import third party drawing files, third party solid models or ALPHACAM drawings to be batch processed. The ability to apply multiple Machining Styles, Geometry Queries and Nesting options from one location permits the user to have all of the tools described and worked on in the first stages of this course in one location to allow the rapid processing of large batch jobs.
Prerequisites for this course are good working knowledge of ALPHACAM geometry creation and standard machining methods. The courses which cover those areas are ALP TRG 100 (Standard Geometry and Machining) and ALP TRG 114 (Feature Extraction).
Training is delivered Online.
