This course covers the complete process of modeling and running a resistance spot welding (RSW) simulation in Simufact Forming and compares
the 2D and 3D approaches.
The course starts with model setup of geometries, materials, friction and heat objects, and the weld schedule and weld force defintions.
First a 2D analysis is run and the results reviewed. Second, the model is converted to a 3D model, the appropriate changes are shown ant the 3D model run.
Finally, 3D results are reviewed, and the general guidelines are presented for RSW post processing. Throughout the course, best practices are shown for each step.
It is expected that the user is familiar with Simufact Forming for this course.
