This course covers the complete process of modeling and running a resistance spot welding (RSW) simulation in Simufact Welding.
The course starts in MSC Apex with a CAD assembly, where the parts are first cleaned up, refinement regions are created, and the locally refined mesh is done.
Then the parts are moved to Simufact Welding where a full model setup is done, with components, boundary conditions, weld parameters and materials are defined.
Finally, results are reviewed and the general guidelines are presented for RSW post processing. Throughout the course, best practices are shown for each step.
It is expected that the user is familiar with MSC Apex and the Simufact Toolkit.
