This course gives a comprehensive overview about welding simulation. Starting with the challenges faced when designing welding processes, the advantages and possibilities of welding simulations are explained. The concept and the applications of Simufact Welding are shown. Its usage is presented. An additional focus of the course is the meshing of the components to be welded using MSC Apex. Theory and background information is given.
