1 | Quick Launch Bar The Quick Launch bar is a container for frequently used functions for quick access. Custom configuration is possible via the ribbon bar configuration dialogue. 2 | Title Bar The title bar displays application-specific information such as the registered company name and product information. It also contains application-specific menu items such as move, resize, maximize, minimize, or close the application. |
3 | Ribbon Bar The ribbon bar is the basic tool for working with the Q-DAS product. It consists mainly of tabs that display commands, options and functions in groups. The tabs are displayed at the top, the groups at the bottom, and the individual commands in between. The ribbon bar is dynamic, meaning that the components available depend on the product, user group, and context. The default ribbon does not include all commands. Some of the commands have become redundant due to customer requests and restructuring of various versions. The configuration can be customised. Link to: Menu Navigation Desktop Products As example File Menu / Graphic Tab / Results Tab / Assesment Tab The "File" menu provides the basic commands for working with Q-DAS applications. It provides commands for working with the test plans and for customising the application. The "Graphics" tab provides various graphics for displaying individual measured values or several characteristics in one graphic as well as navigation buttons for switching between parts and characteristics. The "Results" tab provides various graphics for displaying evaluation results. The "Assessment" tab provides various graphics for assessing the results of the evaluation. Various graphics are available to show summarised information for the assessment of capabilities and summarised results. |
4 | Tab Bar All open graphics or windows are displayed as single tabs in this bar. |
5 | Assistant (Wizard) Helps the user to handle data records and provides relevant help topics at a glance. The assistant provides the most recently opened files, import functions, relevant help topics, the current parts/characteristics list and user-specific button bars. By default, the parts/characteristics list is displayed to the user. |
6 | Button Bar Button bars are toolbars of individually configured buttons that provide access to important or frequently used functions. The default setup provides some examples of button bars that can be integrated. How to use button bars and how to create them with the Button Bar Designer is covered in a separate topic. 7 | Workspace The layout of the workspace can be customised. The position and size of graphics, forms and reports can be changed to suit the user. A particular layout can be saved by the user for themselves or for the dataset. Link to: Window Layout (Q-DAS Graphics Arrangement) |
8 | Application Bar (additional control bar within the Q-DAS Graphics) The Application Bar provides quick access to additional graphics, windows or functions and can be customised to suit the user's requirements. The Application Bar can be shown/hidden and configured for all Q-DAS graphics. Although available for all products, the Application Bar is described in detail for procella, the module with the most available options. 9 | Status Bar The status bar displays various status information and notifications from the Q-DAS application. By default, the status message, database name, file name, logged-in user and the currently active evaluation strategy are displayed.
