Starting parameters

This documentation describes the start parameters which can be used for the Q-DAS application.

Part selection through file transfer (-ta)

This document explains how to use a leading third-party system, e.g. an order management system, to limit the selection of test plans in a way that the user may immediately start to record measured values at the push of a button.

Test plan selection through file transfer (-uf)

This document explains how to use a leading third-party system, e.g. MES Software or test planning software, to start the Q-DAS application and to transfer the test plan created by the third-party system in the database in order to edit it.

Measured value acquisition by file transfer (-ux)

This document shows you how to automatically record a measured value via a leading third-party system, such as MES software or inspection planning software, and automatically start the Q-DAS application, for example, to display alarms or record events for the recorded measured value.

Automatic launch of the O-DAS application
There are cases where the use of the Q-DAS Launcher is not preferred. In these cases, a batch file can be provided to the user to launch a Q-DAS product directly. A separate best practice article shows how to prepare a batch file so that the user can start a Q-DAS product by double-clicking. It also covers the required configurations, the special settings when using CMM, and the settings to bypass the user login.
