The browser-based products qs-STAT WEB and solara.MP WEB are based on the desktop products. The users created there, the defined evaluation strategies and the adapted graphics are used here, but cannot be configured in the "web". This provides users with a simple and directly usable interface.
For customers who have only licensed the web products, the desktop version can be started in a "demo licence" for configuration purposes.

1 qs-STAT Web + solara.MP Web
This chapter explains the basic operation with the two products qs-STAT and solara.MP on the web.
1.1 Working with *. dfq - files
Working with *. dfq - files differs from the desktop application. Since work is done via a browser, the files must be transferred from the local computer to the server for evaluation (upload) or transferred from the server to the local PC when saving. (Download)
The result is:
|
|
Opening *. dfq files is an upload to the server. |
|
|
Saving or "Save as..." of *. dfq - files is a download from the server. |
The saving/downloading of *. dfq files depends on the browser settings regarding downloads. Here for example in the Firefox browser.
Figure: Firefox settings
In general, it is recommended to use the "Always ask" setting.
|
Example: A file (A3046.dfq) has been opened. Browser setting: Always save to the download folder. During editing, the file was now saved four times. Without the query for the storage space or even a possible overwriting of the original file, four files were now created with the respective extension due to the browser setting: |
|
|
Working with *. dfq files should generally be the exception when using Q-DAS Web products. Working with a data database is recommended. Especially with regard to *. dfq files larger than 1 megabyte, clean work with files can no longer be guaranteed. |
1.2 Working with datasets from the data database
With the selection "Read from database" the following window appears:
1.2.1 Working with part selection
Clicking on a part in the left pane displays the associated characteristics in the right pane.
By clicking on the check mark next to the respective characteristic, it can be enabled/disabled. The selection made here will then be taken into account when loading the part.
|
Here, for example, the characteristics 3+6+9 are deactivated: |
|
The result is that characteristics 3+6+9 are not loaded. |
Using the two marked buttons, all characteristics can be selected/deselected within the characteristic selection.
By selecting multiple parts (background highlighted), multiple parts can be loaded at the same time.
1.2.2 Filter
When the filter option is opened, no fields are visible by default. The fields can be added by the + sign.
A combined drop-down field opens in which the category Part / Characteristic / Value and the desired k-field can be selected. To include the field to the filter click on the button "Add filter".
The filters options can be saved user-specifically as a default.
A special filter condition can also be created for the "Time".
Using the time filter, it is possible to obtain the corresponding result within a specified time window. By clicking in the time field, a corresponding wizard opens.
|
|
Once set, a content within the time filter cannot be removed. |
|
|
|
1.2.3 Preselection
In the pre-selection, all selections are shown which the user has created for himself or which have been assigned to the user group. After selecting a selection, it can be loaded immediately with the "Choose query" button in the lower right corner without any further dialogs.
By clicking again on the already selected selection, it will be deselected again.
|
|
The preselection can be created only in the desktop application. |
|
|
|
1.2.4 Line Selection
The Line-Selection allows the user to pre-filter the part list directly according to multiple different k-fields of the part level.
By default, these are:
Part number (K1001)
Part description (K1002)
Part abbreviation (K1003)
Contract (K1053)
All existing part variations of these K-fields are displayed in the first K-field level.
After selecting the variation of the first field, every K-field after that displays the variations of this K-field (of the corresponding pre-filtered set). Up to the last k-field.
After the selection in the third K-field, the corresponding part selection appears, pre-filtered to these data sets:
1.2.5 Editable load / subsequently
By default, the data set is loaded in read only mode. If there is a reason to edit such dataset, it is possible to do it by clicking on the button Load editable in the File ribbon. The edited test-plan can be saved back to the database.
1.2.6 Editable load / in advance
After selecting a test-plan, it can be loaded. Since version 14, data is always loaded in "Read only mode". With the sub option "Load editable" the data set can be loaded directly editable. The edited test-plan can be saved back to the database.
1.3 Ribbons
Only the graphics and functions released for the web are displayed. In addition, only those graphics that have been assigned to the web user in the ribbon configuration (adjustable in the Windows application).
A reduced selection of masks, graphics, strategy options and reports can be found in the web.
|
Example: FILE tab after opening a data set:
|
The available graphics has the same configuration as in the Windows application. Each configuration carried out for the user / user group is then also displayed in this way on the web.
1.4 File new
1.4.1 qs-STAT
Via "NEW" button, new parts can be created. The dialog for defining the number of characteristics appears. By the selection made in our example (see the screenshot), the newly created data set contains three variable characteristics.

More tabs and additional menu buttons are also displayed in the menu bar.
On the right side of the application window, the Parts / characteristics list can be used to switch between different parts / characteristics.
When saving, a selection window appears with these two options:
