The "Directories" dialogue is basically part of the system configuration. It provides the paths used by the Q-DAS applications. These are, for example, the default masks, reports, logo or default directory for DFQ files.

1 Paths
Use the software to adjust any path that can be changed by the user.
The paths are saved to the *product*.ini per client/installation and product, depending on the path, they might also be stored to a specific module. This document explains which paths are saved to a specific module or only to the respective product (only an entry in the *product*.ini).
Example
Whether the specified path applies to the entire product (all modules) to may be saved to a specific module of the product are indicated by the name of the *product*.ini. In case the specified paths include an extension, such as *_as= or *_pc=, the paths may be saved to a specific module.
Before installing clients, we thus recommend you adapt the paths of the INI file on the server as described in the installation manual.
You may change paths provided that you are granted system configuration rights or are able to change specified paths when you are granted restricted system configuration rights.
To configure program-specific or module-specific directories, select File|Configuration|Paths. The Directories windows opens.

After you completed your configuration, close the window by clicking Save and OK.
The window provides you with the following kinds of paths.
1.1 Read/write data
Specify directory paths in the respective qs-STAT modules to read or save files.
The software uses these paths when you select File - Open
and when you select Save after you created new files.
This option only becomes effective when the Save to file radio button is activated in the general options.
Adjusted paths always apply after starting the software again. In case you selected a different path manually when you selected File Open, the new path applies to each time you use File Open again.

1.2.1 Reports
Use the Reports input field to define the directory providing the available standard reports that can be selected.
This field also defines the reports the Report preview or Print report or Print report to PDF file options etc. apply to by default.

1.2.2 Standard
In case you select a report under Standard, The software automatically applies this report when you select the Print standard report option from the context menu or click the

Provided that you defined a standard report, you may also print it by opening the context menu of any graphic and selecting the respective option.
1.2.3 Cover sheet
Select the cover sheet for signatures under Cover sheet. You may only select report templates you defined as a cover sheet in the Form Designer. When you sign reports, the software creates a PDF file based on the cover sheet and the selected report.
You need the full version of the Adobe PDF Creator to do so.
When you continue signing the same report, the software replaces the cover sheet by the new cover sheet (including additional digital signatures).
1.2.4 PDF output
To print the report to PDF, you specify the directory you want to apply by default to store PDFs.
When you print PDFs and store them in a specific path, you may adjust the automated generation of sub-folders based on K-field information. The options are available in the PDF configuration.
1.3 Print current window
Select report files containing placeholders for parts/characteristics graphics. These placeholders apply when you directly want to print the graphics displayed on your screen by selecting Print current window from the context menu.
The software is able to identify whether it is a graphic of a characteristic of a graphic of a part (summary graphic).
1.4 Print table views in reports
You define a placeholder for tables under Report file. When you print or generate PDFs, tables replace this placeholder; they do not fill a whole page. Even if you print the change history, this file applies and serves as a template. You may only select report templates you defined as a frame for Print current window or for printing tables (e.g. change history).
Such templates are available in the Templates sub-folder.
You use this template e.g. to print the history of user management settings.
1.5 Displays
1.5.1 Displays
You specify the directory path storing all graphics to be applied by Q-DAS software under Displays.
You may sect these images in the parts/characteristics mask based on the associated K-fields.

1.5.2 CAD file
This entry specifies the directory containing all drawing files required for the CAD import. The directory applies to the 2D/3D CAD import.
1.5.3 Logo
The graphic selected under Logo is applied as company logo in the standard reports the software provides by default.
You usually do not change a logo per product installation/per client. There is a separate document available explaining how to change the logo globally for the entire network.
1.5.4 Icons
The path defined under Icons specifies the directory including the icons for configurable buttons. This functionality is only available for the summary/input mask in O-QIS/procella. After opening such a mask, you open the Graphical settings tab and select the Configure application bar icon under Display. The Configuration button bar dialogue box opens. Click the Additional functions button to select a new function and whereas the Select graphic button helps you assign a graphic to this button. The path defined under Icons thus leads to the folder containing the images for O-QIS/procella buttons.
Note: In case you specify this path for several users, please consider that this path leads to a central server

1.5.5 Background image
To show a background in the program that is different from the default background, select a directory under Background image.
1.6 Q-DAS Monitoring
1.6.1 Graphic file
Select the directory storing the configuration file (GraphicObj.xml) applied for the display/visualisation in

1.6.2 Test plan file
The Test plan file defines the respective test plan for Q-DAS Monitoring.
1.7 Button bar
Specify the file name and path of the button bar. In case you do not want to use a button bar, you must not specify any path. This option applies to button bars applied at specific work stations.
The upper field defines the path to contain all button bars in general.
You select the file to be applied as button bar in the respective module in the lower field.
You may also apply button bars in the assistant; however, you may not save them to a specific *product*.ini, but the central configuration database distributes them. The button bar is thus not saved to the INI, but it is stored centrally, i.e. to a specific user and not to a specific workstation.1.8 Input screen mask
Specify the path including the file name of the input mask (definition file defining the design of the parts/characteristics/values mask) for the respective module.
You may select the respective mask file based on the paths or directly in the software.
1.9 Gradient
If you show gradients when applying procella, you may define the path to store the single *.dfq files per measured value. The software only shows this entry in case you configured the gradient completely. The document about RS-232 describes how to do it.
1.10 Document allocation
In case you want to store document referring to measurements/additional data in the Document Manager, you define the central storage location here.
1.11 Catalogues
Specify the path to the folder of catalogue files. We recommend you do not change the default path in case of a server-client installation.
1.12 Q-DAS scripts
To be able to apply scripts in the software, select the directory containing the scripts.
1.13 Internet support
With the Web support active option enabled, the software accesses the GER folder in case the adjusted language is German or the ENG folder for English or any other language.
1.14 SAP
Define the paths for the SAP export directory.

1.16 Storage file for database connection parameters
Specify the central storage location of the Firedac.ini controlling any kind of database connection. We recommend you do not change the default path in case of a server-client installation.
