Allows settings to be exchanged between configuration databases on different workstations. The Export dialogue allows the user to extract selected configuration settings from the database and save them to a file. And the Import dialogue allows information to be transferred from a file to a database on another workstation.

1 Export / Import configuration
Almost all configurations stored in the configuration database can be exported and imported.
The following options are available for this purpose.
Neither dialogue is restricted by user authorisations. With one exception, the evaluation strategy. Only with the user group right "Change strategies" are the evaluation strategies also available here.
1.1 Export configuration
Settings which, for example, a user has inherited through the configuration of his user group are not displayed when exporting the settings of this user.
Under Configuration Export, all settings are displayed that have been changed for this user / user group. This means that they have been saved for this user / user group.
The exception here is again the evaluation strategy, as this cannot be saved user-specifically. It can only be saved globally.
When exporting evaluation strategies, there is the option "Only customer strategies", with which the view is then reduced to the individually created strategies. The evaluation strategies delivered by Q-DAS do not have to be exported or imported. Through the database updates, all existing evaluation strategies are generally taken over and new delivery evaluation strategies are added.
The export to a ConfExp.IEF file is carried out after clicking on "OK", specifying a file name and selecting the storage location.
1.2 Import configuration
To import *.IEF files, a corresponding *. IEF file must be loaded beforehand.
|
|
When importing, the version number used must be observed. Optimally, export and import are only carried out within the same main version. The import of *. IEF files from older versions is possible, but the graphics / option / strategy must then be checked for correctness by the end customer himself. |
|
|
When importing, settings / strategies from all modules can be displayed! However, these are imported for exactly the module from which the export originally originated. |
