Q-DAS applications provide various combinations of function codes to execute commands such as changing the database connection, opening a test plan or bringing another application to the front. These are mainly used in the button bars, the application bars or in the Q-DAS scripts as "DoAction" commands.

1 Intended use of the function codes
Various combinations of function codes are available in the Q-DAS applications for executing commands such as changing the database connection, opening a test plan or bringing another application to the foreground. These are mainly used in the button bars, the control bars or in the scripts as "DoAction" commands.
Each function code combination consists of a statement block with four key elements. The function group, function number, function sub-number and the additional number.
The focus of this FAQ is a list of possible and, above all, frequently used function code combinations. These are in constant development. The list in this FAQ was created with the version that was the subject of the current delivery at the time of publication. Depending on the available version, the list listed here may ‑differ from the ‑function codes available in the QDAS ‑applications.
The use of the function code combinations requires a solid basic knowledge of the Q-DAS applications and in particular knowledge of the existing system environment. An efficient use of the function code combinations can be elaborated in a workshop with the Q-DAS project team. Contact e-mail: info.qdas.mi@hexagon.com.

2 Function codes Combinations
The following chapters list combinations of function codes grouped according to their purpose.
2.1 Function code combinations for graphical representations
Due to the large number and the deviations in the modules, it is not necessary to list the graphic elements such as individual values, characteristic values, control charts, part evaluations, forms, overview/input windows, etc. individually. The following explains how the function code combination of a graphic element can be read out.
In the Q-DAS applications, all graphic elements belong to function group "1".
Further information such as function number, function sub-number and the additional number are stored in the element itself. They are called up via the context menu of the element and the selection "Information".
Context menu of the "Summary/Input 3" window in procella.
Context menu of the "Characteristics Statistic 9" window in qs-STAT Process Analysis.
If the information window of an element does not contain an additional number, use "0".
Information window of "Overview/Input 3" in procella
Information window "Characteristics Statistic 9" in qs-STAT Process Analysis.
Thus, the following function code combination is used in procella to call up the "Summary/Input 3" window:
The following function code combination is used in qs-STAT Process Analysis to call up "Characteristics Statistic 9":
