The series of case studies on the topic of data flow are intended to help the reader use the software and prepare for future workshops. The aim of this series of documents is to introduce the reader to the idea of the "K-field workshop", the use of the various K-fields for different application scenarios, and an overview of possible follow-up processes after the creation of a DFQ file. In the coming months, other documents describing the output of DFQ files from the various Hexagon products will also be listed here. These have their own descriptions in the respective help files, but the aim here is to describe the output in terms of the Q-DAS software.
K-field Workshop - Food for thought
Before any Q-DAS installation and project, the K-field workshop should be done. It is often called CAMERA concept or Dataflow workshop. No matter the name, the goal is always the same. To design a clear structure of the data and optimize the processes according to customers and industry needs. This document serves as a food for thoughts for anybody who seeks to participate or lead such workshop. It will show you an overall picture of how the workshop look like and help you prepare for the questions and discussions. In the end, it can help you to understand Q-DAS software and how it works a little bit better. |

Possibilities after the export
During the measurement procedure, the DFQ file was created, containing all the necessary information about the measured part, characteristics and additional information. In some cases, the operator does not know what happens next in the dataflow. This document describes a few possible scenarios of what is happening with the data and why even operators and CMM programmers should be interested in this topic. |
