vidara
Vidara is a tool for process improvement that offers a variety of statistical methods and tests. This product provides users with two extensive modules that expand classic capability calculations into the "Six Sigma" area.
These include:
- Reliability analysis
- DoE
- Variance analysis
- Regression analysis

Functional distinction between vidara and qs-STAT / Solara.MP
The vidara product could be described as an 'add-on' for customers who already use the Solara.MP and Qs-Stat products to control their processes. A frequently asked question is, 'Where should I use what?' The small table below is intended to provide a brief overview:

This interaction between products also demonstrates one of Q-DAS's strengths.
Knowledge!
Unfortunately, the term 'Six Sigma' is widely regarded as a buzzword in the industry. Its meaning varies from person to person. Auto himself has been aware of this for 20 years. Customers contact us because they want or need to implement Six Sigma. However, 75% of these cases involve the classic 'proof of suitability for testing and production processes'. Classic qs-STAT, classic Solara.MP.
Before embarking on a large-scale experimental design, it is important to ensure that the data flow is correct. Consistent data collection in a planned data flow, with all information on the measured value, saves a lot of 'DoE'. There is no need to carry out an experimental design to determine whether various production plants or machines operate in the same way if this can already be clearly recorded and evaluated in the additional data in the data flow.
Vidara then works for the Six Sigma engineer. While all other products work with live data in the database, Vidara imports this data into a 'project'.
The Six Sigma engineer then works with an extract of the data transferred to a project structure. The interaction between the products also becomes apparent here. Vidara requires users to have a high level of training and knowledge (see 'Green Belt training'). However, to gain a comprehensive understanding of the Six Sigma project, evaluations from Solara MP and qs-STAT are also necessary. If the licences for these products are available, the Six Sigma engineer can integrate them into their projects.

Therefore, the first and most important form of documentation is working with the 'Project Explorer'.
