Q-DAS Database The connection to the value database is configurable here. In classic server-client networks, this is not necessary if the database is made available to all clients centrally via the server configuration. The selected database is saved for the product started at this workstation. Manual database changes should therefore only be made if the location and functionality of the database are known. |

Central Database Connection The rules for the central database are the same as for the standard Q-DAS database. The central database is used, for example, to synchronise local test plans into a single database or to store measurement data from different recording stations centrally. In O-QIS MCA/CMM Reporting with buffer databases, this database connection is used to transfer the measurement files to the central database after acknowledgement. When using O-QIS MCA/CMM Reporting without buffer databases, all measurements are stored in the central database. In Q-DM and M-QIS Reporting, the central database connection entry is the fallback level if no database connection is selected. |

Compress Database This button can be used to compress the Microsoft Access value database. It is not possible to repair the database using this button. The "Compress Database" button is only displayed if the currently selected connection for Q-DAS Database is a connection to a Microsoft Access database. |

Database Texts Opens the dialogue that allows the user to modify the contents of the text database. All texts in the database can be edited using this dialogue. Before making any changes to the text database, it is strongly recommended to consult the Q-DAS project team. Changes to the text database cannot be undone. |
