Measuring Pinion and Crown wheel

Hello.
I am trying to measure some pinon and crown wheel with SPIRBV.
Then I'm measuring the topography whit points everything works great but it takes a lot of time.

When I try to scan instead the probe takes points in the air, I can se it whit my eye and the result is very bad.
I can´t figure out what I´m doing wrong.

Any suggestions on what I should do are welcome.

Also trying to create a CAD model of the gear with CadCreateSpirbv but do not know what should be entered under "Queue whit tooth profile section name".

Hi Anders,

First off, the parameters are probably wrong, hence the machine moves off the part.

Create the QUE before using CadCreateSpribv with SPIRBV_CADPTS. Activate the correct CSY beforehand and use the correct parameter set.

Thanks for your response.

I suspect that too, but which parameter(s) should I change?
I tried lowering the speed and acceleration but it didn't help.
I have tried both Leitz scanning and scanning of a known contour.
It should be mentioned that I measure with the round table activated.
So far I have only tried to scan on pinions.

OK. The machine parameters are probably not the problem.

Have you shifted the coordinate system to the cone tip or used this input :

I shifted the coordinate system. Point measurement works fine.

Will try to get another detail to share.

I'm not allowed to share the ones I've measured so far, they're prototypes.

It may take some time before I can measure pinions again.
