Metrology Reporting is hosted in UKSouth (Slough) UK data center, and replicated in UKWest (Cardiff) UK data center. European customers data is also stored in SFX EU data center in Netherlands, Western Europe. All other customers data is also stored in SFX AM data center in Iowa, Central USA.
How does the link between PC-DMIS and Metrology Reporting work?
Data is transmitted out of recent versions of PC-DMIS using Hexagons XaltEdge (MQTT based) technology. If the user has onboarded SFx Desktop, then any opted in data is transmitted by the SFx Desktop service to SFx Azure servers. Metrology Reporting gets notified of new data and will securely copy and store the data to Metrology Reporting server for accessibility on the dashboard.

Do I need to configure anything in PC-DMIS?
No. If you want trace information to be associated with the results other than part name and asset name, then you will need to use the PC-DMIS TRACEFIELD command.

Is there a cap in storage?
Currently there is no cap on storage. Hexagon will be looking to put caps in place for fair usage.
Is there specific SPC analysis in Metrology Reporting?
Metrology Reporting offers the Basic Statistics Report which performs basic CP/CPK calculations. These are basic and non-customizable. For deeper analysis we advise looking at Q-DAS. We will also be integrating Q-DAS with metrology Reporting.
Do the statistics come from Q-DAS? If no, then why are we creating two different sources of analysis?
The Basic Statistics Report is calculated by Metrology Reporting and does not come from Q-DAS. It is non-customizable and does not offer deep analysis like Q-DAS offers. In the future we will integrate with Q-DAS so users who have both products can benefit from both simultaneously.
